Blood, sweat and tears - Mill Creek Trimaran

After two years of work I finally got my MC 16.5 Trimaran on the water.  She's entirely home made, built from plans but the gaff rig is all my own idea.  All the deck fittings, cleats, eyes and even the blocks and the sheaves within them are carved from teak.  The mast is a hollow tube made with birds eye joints from douglas fir, and the spars are also hollow and slotted to take the sails.  Sails are also home made, a first attempt at sailmaking.Widget

And there's a YouTube of me sailing her (with a busted rudder!) here:

Oops, lets try that again with a smaller size!

Absolutely stunning. I love the Egyptian feel of the craft, complete with the Eye of Ra. You have a craft there to be proud of.

Thank you!  Actually, the symbol on the bow is a pun.  It’s still widely used on boats in the eastern mediterranean (a good luck charm), and it’s called the Ouijat (pronounced as in French).  The name of the boat is Widget.

Look´s realy good :)

Simply stunning! What an accomplishment!
