I was recently introduced to Dragon Boats while visiting New Hope, PA on the Delaware river. These rowing boats have a crew of 18-20. I immediately wondered if CLC has ever considered designing and building this kind of craft. I imagine dragon boat teams building their own.

Actually, the dragon boats are paddled not rowed, but CLC has designed the Whitby Pilot Gig, a rowed 32' gig, which has been built and rowed in England. With 6 oarsmen, it is still nearly as long as the dragon boats, not as big displacement, i'll bet. You can just cram a lot more paddlers in a given waterline than rowers.
