# Epoxy sanding

The manual says to apply 3 coats of epoxy and sand. Do I sand between coats or just after the last, thrid coat?

Sand after the last coat. The reasons for more than one coat is one coat alone won't fill the weave; if you try to, a great deal of drips will result. Multiple coats allow you to gradually fill the weave. Once that's done, you need to even it out a catch whatever drips occurred. I wouldn't even sand drips until the weave is completely filled--you don't want to cut into the fiberglass cloth, which will be easy to do if the weave isn't filled.
Also, epoxy doesn't need "tooth"--that texture you get from sanding--in order to adhere properly.
