# Epoxy shelf life

&nbsp;Does anyone know how long epoxy &&nbsp;hardner&nbsp;will stay good, will it last several years at room temp.

No problem with System 3, haven't tried it with other brands.

I have some four year old West System that has been in an unheated garage the whole time and works great.&nbsp; I have had some darkening of the hardener, which , for me, is a feature, not a bug - it's easier to tell if hte epoxy is thoroughly mixed if you can see a uniform color - and it's not all that dark.&nbsp;

&nbsp;If in doubt, just mix a small batch and see how it works on some scrap.
