OK, I know this is not a build question, but it has inspired me to start paddle carving, bought the draw knife and built a carving horse.  I will keep you posted on my Greenland paddle.  In the mean time:

This year is the second annnual Kayak for a Cure in Mississauga and we are auctioning off an Adirondack style paddle. This was hand crafted by Toronto based paddle maker.   I met Murat @ MEC Paddlefest in Toronto and he was kind enough to donate a paddle to the cause.

We are doing a blind auction so please email your bids to Ontario@kayakforacure.org, the winner will be announced Sept 18 during the event.  And yes, there will be at least two CLC boats there :)

Good Morning:

I believe we are 3 CLC boats in this years Kayak For A Cure event, we will soon out number the plastic kayaks.

We will post pictures of the event.

David, I too am attempting a greenland paddle this winter  and currently sourcing out wood species, or I can just bid on this work of art.

We need to touch base sometime soon and I will see you at the event.
