# Kaholo deck fittings

I'm thinking ahead of what to do for deck hardware on the Kaholo 14 I just started building.
I guess the bungee cord gear holder would surely be useful, but 2 questions come to my mind:
1. What kind of fittings to attach the bungee cord and maybe a foreline?
- Metal deckeyes would be nice and traditional to looks at, but maybe it's a safety issue, as it's easy to trip over or fall on?
- pieces of webbing and a washer? Easy and soft but maybe a bit sloppy
- plastic fittings? Google suggests temu etc. but is there a quality brand?
What did you all do for deck eyes and is someone using the cargo net with suction cups?
2. Did you gave a lot of thought to the placement of your fittings, like having in mind different uses, for example attaching a seat or different types of cargo?

The default method for rigging on the Kaholo is web loops secured via wood screws. I used cabon fiber pad eyes glued to the deck that I had left over from a previous build. For a bow painter, I mounted a metal eye with wood screws into the bow block. For a leash attach point, I glued a Ropeye to the deck on the stern.
If you want to mount other items, keep in mind that you will have to add a block of wood under the deck in the desired location (like was done for the handle). The plywood deck is not thick enough for wood screws and you can't access under the deck to through bolt anything. hope that this helps.

No edit feature so this is to clarify my last post. The default rigging installation uses wood screws into the shear clamps. The deck is too thin to use wood screws in other locations unless you glue a backing block on the underside of the deck.
