We had a 70 degree plus day in the Washington DC area the other day ....and water temps in the low 30s which created some incredible scenes.

and of course, if there is a scene....you need to get your boat into it.

Sigh. I was stuck indoors doing things that were scheduled back when the weather was supposed to be cold yesterday. Glad someone got out to enjoy it.

Thanks for sharing those pictures, Howard. It's good to know that mini-Spring wasn't wasted.

I'm actually quite surprised by the turtles. I would have thought that between the water temperature and the recent cold spell that they would have been overwintering in the mud.
