First paddle in my recently seaworthy Pax 20 yesterday. Very satisfying. One varnishing tip I discovered for overcoating (thanks to edf cutting the power 1/2 hour early) is to use a head torch to show up the wet edge. It works with the lights on as well as off. Also you can't do enough sanding or enough cleaning of your varnishing area.
