# Will kayak deck compass interfere with sail rig?

I have. Chesapeake 17 with a marine compass (sold by CLC) mounted 18.5” forward of the cockpit lip. &nbsp;Will this interfere with the CLC sail rig outrigger deck contact point?

&nbsp;&nbsp; I bought the sailrig plans but decided not to build (yet).&nbsp; They show the aft aka placed 5-7" behind the cockpit combing.&nbsp; They also show the spacing between the akas as 48" measured on the inside (front of aft aka to back of front aka).&nbsp; The akas are each 1.5" wide (front to back).&nbsp; The mast partner is located centerline on the front of the front aka.&nbsp; That should be all that you need to get some idea.
