Wood duck bulkhead fillet question

Hi Folks,

I'm to the point where the manual says to fillet the space between the bulkhead and the deck.  There is about a 1/2 inch gap.  I think I should be able to pot and fillet the gap just fine.  I'm wondering if I should also fiberglass tape joint after the fillet if made.  The manual does not say to do this and there is not enough tape left over.

I had some gap there also.  Just fillets on mine.  Took a couple applications to fill the void.  I dont see any reason to glass that.
