I have a power boat, kayak and canoe, but want to build a wood boat. When I was a kid growing up my Dad always had wood boats. I grew up fixing and painting these boats with my father and friends. I had a plywood “Sailfish” kit sailboat in the 70’s, but did not build it myself. That was my 1st ever boat of my own.

I like to fish, sail and row so I want a boat that would be good for fishing in salt water bays and tidal rivers. I also have a lake nearby but mostly fish in the salt.

Trying to decide on a boat, help?
A little scared to get started. I’m in Central Coastal CT, looking for others here.
