Built a Shearwater 17 Hybrid. In the deck I put arrowheads forward & aft, w/ the points toward the ends. The shaft feathers had to have extra longitudinal stringers cut into the deck forms to support the layup. Used larger cedar planks for the arrowheads & altered light/dark short strips for the feathers. Looked stunning! Deck was very light & lots of short pieces, so ran carbon bands side to side just fore & aft of cockpit and under cockpit edges where the strips met the ring.
Just starting a Chesapeake 17 LT from plans. May put on a strip deck just for fun.
