Hi, I just started my petrel kayak kit. I started building the strong back, I used glue and staples. When I put the stem & stern on the ends I found that I needed to cut the length of the strong back to get my 16ft 8 1/2inch. Now when I lay out the forms, forms 13 & 14 are closer than the recommed 12inches. Anyone else have this problem?
