Several posters have asked about price and availability of Johnson/Evinrude 6 and 8 HP motors. Currently my shop has about half a dozen 8’s, same number of 6’s, and a dozen old the older 5.5’s that have same displacement as the 6’s…overhead recoil starter is only difference. All the 5.5’s and 6’s will take remote controls and we have the cable anchors in stock. Also the steering attachments. We have factory and aftermarket single and duel lever throttle shift controls. Prices start at $300 for a running 5.5 and $350 for a 6. Later 8’s start at $450. Motors can be shipped via Greyhound Package Express.
