I am considering building a sail/row boat for coastal day tripping and short overnight touring. I live in Adelaide South Australia where the local gulf waters are relatively sheltered but due to the long fetch, sou’ westers whip up quite a chop at 15 knts and above. Any advice on which boat for single handling and ease of launch / retrieval in such conditions would be welcome.
