I'm running a little short on cell-o-fill, and I was wondering if there was any significant structural or adhesive difference between it and wood flour. I assume since they are both cellulose based fillers there are some situations where they would both work the same (other than the color) but others where a difference in particle size might affect performance. Any thoughts.
Actually, wood flour is lignin-based, not cellulose. But for the boats we build here it doesn't really make any difference which we use.
As far as substituting wood flour for cell-o-fill, go for it. Every S&G boat I've built has been 100% wood flour and nothing's fallen apart yet.
Have fun,
Laszlo
