glassing the deck on a Chesapeake

When you guys fiberglass the deck do you roll the glass over and bring it down the sides of the boat or trim it off flush at the edge of the deck?

I brought it down 2 inches

   Deviating from the manual, we are bring our hull glass 1" onto the deck, and the deck glass 1" onto the hull, so there ends up being a double layer at the rail.
