Which would you use the foam hatch tape that is in the kit or mini cell tape?
If I go with the mini cell tape what do I seal it down with.

I originally tried the tape that came in the kit. It worked well in still waters but leaked in rain and rough water since it 's open cell. So I made a gasket from the minicell foam that CLC sells and glued it in place with contact cement.
Since then I've found closed cell hatch foam at a local boating supply store, which would be about the same effort as CLC's tape, just not as leaky.
