This is not a big issue, but I figure I might as well start off as accurately as I can. I started setting up the forms on the petral play. Unlike the guillemont I finished back in June, I really like the way the bow and stern forms interlock with the two forms in front of it. That leads me to a potential issue and my question.
At the stern, there was not issue, as I fit the piece on the strongback, the two stages in front of it where exactly where they should be based on the drawing. When I tried to do the same on bow side, I found if I moved the bow form all the way towards the strongback, stages #3 and #4 are both about 1/4" from where they should be. If I make certain those two stages are where they should be, the bow form is about 1/4" away from the end of the strongback. Note stage #3 rests against a notch in the bow form that is 6 3/16" away from the end of the opening for the strongback, not 6" as I would expect.
Tried to contact Shade and no reply. Again I know this is not a big issue, just wondering am I better off making certain stages #3 and #4 are where they should be relative to the end of the strongback. This means the bow form will be out about 1/4" which means the innner stem is out 1/4" or move the bow form towards the boat, eliminating the gap but having stage #3 and #4 out close to 1/4".
I am sure either method will work, just trying to determine which would be best.
