I launched my first kayak, a WD 12 hybrid on july 3rd. I made a few mistakes that i can correct on the next build(sanding to aggressive thru the top layer of the plywood, beveling the wrong side of a bottom panel, and not using a long board for sanding the deck to avoid dips in the deck,....)
One mistake that i am not sure of, stains on the deck. I have seven stains that look like water drops that are amber in color and noticeable on the white cedar strips. I am thinking they might be sweat stains from drops of persperation when i glassed the deck on a warm humid day. Or.... maybe grunge that wasn't totally scraped off during the filling of the weave process.
Any ideas out there??
