I am trying to get some ideas for outdoor storage of two 14-foot kayaks. I have 2 potential spots, with the first being my preferred spot:
1.) I have a spot that is 12'W x 8'L and the 2 sides are blocked, so the doorway would be at the front of the 12'Wide. I am considering steel sheds, but many are 10'W x 12'L. In other words, I need a wide and shallow shed with the door in the front. This spot would allow something tall or short.
2.) I have another spot that is 20'W x 5'L and the 2 sides are blocked, so the doorway would also have to be at the front. For this spot, I would prefer something that is short, like the green shed at the bottom of the ukseakayakguidebook.co.uk link below.
I have searched the web and have come up with some ideas for custom builds. I was wondering what others may have done to store wooden boats. I wanted to shy away from tarps, etc. and was hoping to have a more steady, permanent solution. Any ideas would be very helpful!
