Lifting a Peapod with a crane

I have been trying to figure out how to lift my Peapod in and out of the water with the single-point hook crane at the marina. I looked into designing slings but ran into many practical issues. Has anyone successfully used slings with this boat?

I am now thinking the best method would be to drill trough the frames to install lifting points.

Has anyone done this? Are the frames strong enough to lift without tearing? Will drilling weaken the frames? What size holes and how to seal them? etc

Thank you for any guidance on this!

I don’t know about Peapods, but Dories used to have a loop of rope at the bow and another at the stern. They were hoisted via a two point pulley lift this way. I think one could add a third length of rope that goes between them and has an eye at the apex for the cable.

This is a question that only CLC can answer.
