Live/Sleep aboard kayak/rowing boat

Greetings All, I am wondering if anyone has spent time sleeping onboard a kayak or rowing boat. I am brainstorming coastal cruising and would like to stay aboard at night. I have looked at the angus row cruiser, and the clc faering, and a few other designs. I noticed the Waterlust canoe description says there is room for a “berth” , but has anyone really used it in the wild?
I own a Mill Creek 16.5, but what keeps coming up in my mind
is what to do with all the stuff/junk that we all carry on a small boat, when it’s time to sleep. Have any of you slept aboard a M.C. 16.5?

There’s an extensive post over on fyne boats forum by bergen_guy who built and camps on his wanderlust, and several other people have chimed in as well
