As to the other thing you mentioned, "................ I stopped working on this kayak when Dad got sick. .. ..............working at a new job............... job left me too tired and depressed...................so the Petrel build just sat for three years. " We all live though these and come out the other side one way or the other. Builds often take a back seat to life.
Personally I'm looking foward to entering this phase, ".......I quit that job .......... now I am back to being myself again."
Quitting that job has changed my life. I got my soul back.
Building kayaks for me is like therapy. I can tune out the negative and focus on the positive. As I build one kayak I am already dreaming about the next one.
I have been at my new job for a year now and I love it. On my days off I can’t wait to work on a kayak.
