Pocketship Hood problem

Pocketship Builders! I’m building my Pocketship from the kit. I’m getting ready to build the companionway hood and taped together the patterns to get a feel for how it will look - but something is wrong. There is a pattern piece labeled Companionway Slide Side - it really doesn’t fit with the other pieces and I can’t find a piece that size in the drawings. Has any other builders seen this problem?

I seem to have a vague recollection of a pattern that didn’t make sense. Whether that pattern is actually for something else or just wrong, I forget. Luckily it’s a pretty straightforward piece to figure out. I might suggest making it a bit longer than what I have. When my hood is closed, there’s little overlap at the rear and rain can get in. Making it longer would help with that at the expense of it not opening quite as far. Just an inch would help.

Other pattern stuff:

I do remember one of the rudder blocking patterns was too short.

I also suggest making the gaff longer so it can rest on the gallows when the sails are lowered.

Update - I think I figured it out. In the book, it lists the slide side pattern on the left (underlined). I circled the correct piece - which is not labeled in the book. The dimensions on this piece match with what I pulled off the drawings.

Any clues on just what that other pattern is for - because it certainly is not for the slide. The angle does match with the angle of the cabin wall.
