Hi all. I am using Awlgrip Griptex non slip finish on my PocketShip decking, and it’s really good. I have done the cockpit deck and the cabin roof, but I’m wondering about the forward deck well? Is it worth adding a non slip finish there too? Does anyone actually stand up there to do anything? Thoughts welcome!
The two places you did are the most important, especially the seats. I found plain paint to be very slippery for sitting. I used SeaDek but what you have should work. I also have SeaDek in the front area. I keep my anchor there and it protects the deck. Other than that I think I have only been up there once while sailing, just to sit. So I don’t think non- slip would be needed.
