I have an older kayak I bought used and already worn. After a few uses, I noticed a crack on the bottom of the boat that looks like water would go through. I found a "Gator Patch" on line, made by Gator Guards. Can I place that on the crack and then paint over it?
Depends on what the boat is made of. Polyester resin sticks to polyester resin and not much else. Unless that's a polyester resin boat that patch will eventually leak and come off.
