Schooner varnish re-coat time?

Applied a very thin layer of varnish today at 70 degrees.  Interlux booklet shows 16 hours before re-coat.  I would like to re-coat in 24 hours.  Is this enough time between coating and sanding/re-coat?

Thanks for any sage advice.
