I havent been on the forum for a long time so this may be operator error, but I was trying to find a particular post and put key words in the "search forum" box. It didnt work...am I holding my tongue wrong?

Nope, looks like it's broken.
Until it's fixed, try this:
1. Go to google.com
2. Enter the following into the search box:
site:clcboats.com/forum shinto rasp
That will give you every entry in the forum containing the terms shinto rasp, including in the archives.
Leave off /forum and it will search the whole CLC site.
