looks like a 20’ hull on the work table. Anyone know what they are building?
That is a NE Dory class.
On the table behind the dory's, under the hanging boats. Long hull, length is made up of 5 panels.

I asked John about it a while back on CLC’s facebook page, he was politely evasive. Sounded like he wanted it to be a surprise.
In the memorable words of the late Roy Scheider: ""You’re gonna need a bigger boat"
It’s a pretty awesome boat that they are prototyping. We got to see it in the beginning stages of build up while taking a Shearwater course with the production manager a couple weeks ago.
Oh? Did they give you any more details?
All will be revealed. Make sure you have purchased your CLC Decoder Ring, and await instructions.
It's the WD-Q (Wood Duck Quad) which will debut at the Mid-Atlantic Small Craft Festival on October 2nd. A 24-ft 4-holer with sail rig and provision for a 2-hp outboard or an electric drive. Can be paddled solo by 500-lber's with show size up to 23, or by lighter boaters who tuck their mother-in-laws into the back hole.
You heard it here first!
Laszlo
Obviously Laszlo got his decoder ring first......

The obvious question is why? Is this the divorce boat for 4 marriages?
Dan
Especially since a boat clause should be standard in any decent PreNup
Is that the new 2 man Annapolis Wherry?
It looks too narrow to me to be the tandem wherry.
i saw it today and got a look at the plans and know sorta what it is but don’t know if i should say.
John just let the cat out of the bag in the CLC spam. It's a 30-ft proa.
Personally, I think that the WD-Quad might be more practical :-)
Just kidding!
It'll be interesting to see how this goes. Good luck, John.
Laszlo
Ok, NOW what are they building?
My money is on the tandem wherry this time. Its a little shorter than the 30' Proa, looks beamy enough to be a wherry, the strakes are the right size...we'll know when the transom comes out.
"we'll know when the transom comes out"
As the actress said to the bishop...
...Boom!
.
Speaking of new prototypes, whatever happened to the CLC Adirondack Guide Boat? I saw one at the Wooden Boat Show in Mystic, but haven't heard a peep about it since.
Take care,
Mike
Could it be a "Chester Yawl"..?
