Thickened Epoxy on Jimmy Skiff Sheer Clamps?

Hi everyone, I am building a Jimmy Skiff from the kit and had a question. I have epoxied the sheer clamps together using Cab O Sil thickened epoxy, and I'm ready to attach them to the hull, but wasnt sure if I was supposed to use un-thickened or thickened?  In the manual it only says 'glue them to the hull', leaving me unsure.  

 

As a related question, should I assume I am supposed to use Cab O Sil thickened epoxy when it only says only 'glue' in the manual?  It's obvious what to use when it says fillet, but other times it doesn't specify.

   When glueing things together it's best to use thickened epoxy to prevent it from squeezing out of the joint, especially if you are using clamps. Unthickened is used when saturating glass fabric or tape and covering bare wood.

   But you don't want it as thick as peanut butter. Mustard thickness should be about right.
