I know this motor is primarily for kayaks. But can it be mounted on the Chester Yawl?
If anyone has tried this, please let me know how you made out,
Thanks,
Rich

I have that setup! I put some information on the other Chester Yawl/ Torqeedo post.
If you want some pics just give me an email.

Ralph,
I saw your post. Did you have to make any permanent modifications to the boat such as cutting or drilling? And, did you have to extend the shaft to suit the transom of the Yawl? From the pictures I have seen of the 403, it appears impossible for the stock shaft to get the prop underwater on the yawl.
Thanks for any additional info.
Rich
Sorry for the delayed reply but I just came back from Scotland.
Yes I mounted an off the shelf rudder fastening on the stern. The torpedo can be removed with one long screw.
The Herreshoff steering runs through drill holes in stern and frames.
If I can figure out how to post pics I'll show you.

Here are a few pics that show how I mounted the Ultralight on my CY and the permanent changes.
Hope it works!
