I am ready to varnish my Chesapeake 17 kit, but I don't really have the proper space and ventilation to take this on myself. Any recommendations for a boat shop or other locations that can apply varnish for me? Anyone around the DC/Annapolis/Baltimore area would be ideal.

You might try Annapolis Classic Watercraft and see f they would do it for you.
I looked around Annapolis and was quoted $1200 per boat for varnishing two shearwaters. Given that, I figured out how to do it myself. I did find a guy who offered up his booth, runs a paint shop in Annapolis. Did not take him up on it given the 6-9 applications of varnish and working with his, and others, schedules.
