The manual for the WD-12 is not clear about where the ends of the adjustable nylon straps for the back support should be screwed in to the underside of the deck/coaming assembly. Can anyone say how far forward of the cockpit bulkhead they should go?

I eyeballed mine. I made sure that I had enough webbing. too far back and they tend to pull sideways that increases the pressure on the screws. The further forward the more straight back the pull, I will measure it when I get home and post.
14" forward of the Bulkhead.

Are the clips for the tension bunge on the back side attached to the underside of the coaming or to the bulkhead?

I attached mine to the underside of teh coaming.
