Buying skerry basic kit before buying sail kit

Hi all! 

I'm wondering if it's possible to buy the basic skerry kit and start building the skerry, while I save for the sailing kit?  Will I need both kits simutaneously to begin building the boat?

no reason to buy them simutaneously.

I first bought the kit itself in Germany and  a year later the sailing kit partly  in England and partly in Germany. No problem. The skerry kit had evertyhing in it to build a complete rowingboat. The sailingkit can be installed afterwards.

   I just bought the basic NE Dory kit without the sail kit.  When i am close to completion of the Dory I will order the sail kit.  Still not sure if I will go with a Lug or Sloop sail.  No need to order all at once.  Good luck to you.
