We launched our Chester Yawl on 8/30/25. We built this hull during the week of October 3-8, 2024, and finished it this Winter/Spring. It was a father son project that neither of us will ever forget! We are beginners to the “rowing scene” and have been having some issues with our oar choices (using Shaw & Tenney 7’ 6” spoons) and are wondering if adding a single rowing seat will be a remedy to my arthritic knees. Open to hearing how other “senior boat-builders” have adapted to this beautiful wooden boat. Thank you for your input!
