I have almost a quart of Interlux Schooner vanish stored in a stop-loss bag. It will be about 1/12 years old when I use it. It still looks to be in good shape my question is: if I have to buy some new varnish to finish will the old varnish be the same “color” as a new can?
varnishes like interlux schooner, appear to have a very long, stable formulation. i would not be worried about color in the situation you describe. i have used old, properly stored varnish before in conjunction with new varnish of the same make with no problems.
