NE Dory:Rub rail thickness, inwales and sailing option.

Hello,

I am starting a NE Dory this winter and am very excited about the build. One of those goals that is almost started.

1)If I install spacered inwales will I still be required to have a thickness of 1.75" for the outwall? Does the inwall give structural support or is it only a lashing point?

2)When installing a Lug sail upgrade how is the mast support knee installed in relation to the spacered inwale? Is it integrated or placed below the inwale?

3)What dimensions did you find best for the inwales?

   You are going to love your dory! It's a great boat and the lug rig is perfect for it.
