RE Bias cut fiberglass.

Building a Petrel.  The instructions say to use bias cut glass around the cockpit coaming.  The kit includes 4" tape but it is not bias cut.  Do you just take a yard or so of the fabric off the roll and cut it with a razor in to strips at a diagonal to the weave or is there a better way.  Is there enough glass to do this without running short at the end.

Suggestions appreciated.

my petrel is almost done i used the glass i cut off the the edge of the deck  after  underside was glassed and came out good
