Hi all,
I am ready to install my fore deck hatch on The Guider. The instructions say to trace the hole from the inside of the hatch mount and cut out along this line which I have done. Then bond with West Systems G-flex epoxy. However, I then realized the hatch mount, on the inner most section on the bottom, is more proud than the rest of the bottom of the hatch mount by about 1/8th inch. It feels like this should mount such that the lip should sit inside of the cutout oval. not on top. This would necessitate cutting the oval a bit bigger all around. Shouldn’t be hard to do, but not described in the instructions. Or is the lip meant to provide a gap for the g-flex epoxy to fill and create a sort of gasket? I’ve attached a photo and thanks for the input.
