I'm beginning to contemplate my next boat project. I think I'll either put a new skin on the frame of my 52-year-old 10' Folbot Junior or I'll build a Shearwater Sport Sectional. . . . Or both.
My question about the Shearwater is, "How hard is it for one person to align and connect the sections on a rocky or uneven beach?"
I like the idea of lifting the kayak in three light sections, but that advantage might disappear if the sections are awkward or slow to connect in realistic conditions.
