I purchased a Trailex SUT500 for my Southwester Dory. Unfortunately there are no instructions on how to set up the trailer for this boat. I now have the boat on the trailer and I’m looking for some advice and guidance on how to position the bunks and rollers. Photos or measurements would be most helpful. Thanks

Fellow SW Dory builder here. I don’t have a trailer yet, very interested to see what people say. Could you share some photos?
Hi Bruce, I am in a similar position. The boat is resting on the trailer but I am not sure how the rollers and bunks should be positioned. Here are a few pictures showing how things stand.

Plan to step the masts, finish installing blocks, cleats and sheets and practice setup next week. Jon, thanks. First shakedown cruise in a couple weeks. But the trailer setup has me concerned so may call CLC and see what guidance they might give. Best

The attached photos show how I set up my trailer for the SWDory. Basically you want to get as much contact with the bunks to spread the load. As you can see I moved the bunks out under the first strike and angled to follow the curve of the hull. I hope this helps.

No, I spoke to the folks at a trailex. Assemble the axle to plan otherwise the trailer may not track properly. Start at the winch post and set that approximately 30 inches from the front of the hitch. Your skeg should be a few inches over the rear roller but not touching. You don’t want to put any stress on the skeg so it is not damaged in travel.
