I noticed after varnishing both thwart and boat that now the fit seems too tight. I have to really struggle to get it to sit right. I suspect its from not cutting along the stencil perfectly. At the time I had only a very dull sabersaw blade. Lesson learned but now I wonder: Could I use a dremmel rotary tool to very slightly widen the gap thereby allowing the thwart to slide easier? My flotation blocks are done but I wanted to make sure everything was good before I glued them on. Thoughts?
