Tip : how to hold Oarlock while drilling for screws

Hi, I was trying to hold the oarlock while drilling and it was very difficult so I grabbed a clamp and clamped it down. Now the clamp was interfering with holding the drill perpendicular. So, I thought for a minute and relized I could use a bolt to clamp it down securly and not interfere with the drill.
