I've got a large white area about a foot square, and several smaller areas on the inside hull of my Eastport Pram. Do I need to sand down to the wood and patch all of the areas? There is no obvious bubble in the fiberglass cloth.

Hi Roger,
if you have a large white section, you probably want to remove it and reglass. if its small and you are going to paint over it, you might be able to let it go.
you may find it easier to carefully use a heat gun to soften the epoxy around the white area and with a sharp knife you can cut it and pull it off....you would still have some sanding to do....but maybe less.
the thing you have to be careful about with the sanding is to not accidentlally go so hard that you cut through the top laminate of your underlying plywood and hit the inner ply which will create a huge idscoloration.
hope that helps
