Based on my own experience recently selling my sailboat, very few people want to take on the work associated with owning a wooden boat. Also, a tandem sea kayak is a very specialized craft which makes finding the right new owner a challenge. If you look at the Reddit forums on kayaking and seakayaking most people are buying and using plastic sit-on-top kayaks from places like Walmart and Dicks. You might think about drastically lowering the price and focusing on finding someone who will appreciate and care for this lovely boat.
Yeah, I’ve sold 2 wooden boats and in the end, both were sold for about what I paid for them, maybe a smidge more.
I’m ok with it. I built them as I love building boats, and I got to use them for a few years before I sold them.
Totally agreed. Grandson asked me the other day whether I liked building better than using
its a fun hobby. Could do without the sanding though.
