Hi all,
Back in July or August there was a gent on here who launched a Ches 16 or 16LT (can't quite remember), that had some nice black stripes over the deck nails. I was wondering if that individual was still on here, or if anyone knew who he was. I'm starting to think about paint schemes over the winter, and remember really liking that design.
Any input would be great!
Thanks,
~Chris

not the one I was thinking of, but I really like that design! Really accents the sheer. Fortunately I'll have all winter to look at the 'yak in the garage and decide on what I want to do.
Thanks for sharing the pics.

perrymw - very nice.
A question: Did you varnish the whole kayak first and then paint over the varnish?
I taped and painted first, then taped the painted area and varnished. I let the varnish overlap the paint by about 1/16", on the advice of someone from the forum, but would not again. The lip of varnish stands out on black paint, and is probably only noticed by me, but that's enough.
Glad you like the boat-
Perry
Might have been my Chesapeake LT17. Pics are located here:
