Using bead as a lip on a strip deck

I’m building a shearwater sport hybrid. When laying out the outside strips I clamped them with the bead hanging over. What are the pros and cons of leaving the bead extending as a lip. I think it looks interesting.

I would recommend against that because it will create a very tight radius on the bottom of the bead which will be difficult to glass. If you like that look, a better approach would be to plane the bead off and glass per the instructions, then add a rubstrip along the shear.
